Jennifer Jones is a resident of Palm Beach county, residing in the city of Delray Beach.Jennifer is a proud child of Haitian immigrants.When her family fled Haiti to escape the Duvalier regime, they first found refuge in Canada in the late 1970’s.Jennifer then migrated to South Florida in the mid 1990’s.After graduating high school, she was unable to afford college.Her fortunes changed when she met her mentor in 2003.The late Emmanuel Isma taught her all about the benefits and virtues of being self-employed.
Jennifer became the founder and CEO of her own tax preparation firm.Her firm later diversified and specialized in providing services for immigrants applying for legalized immigration status, either for themselves or families abroad.Jennifer’s professional career is also distinguished by experience as a private judicial interpreter, interpreting and translating documents from Haitian-Creole to English.In 2016, after the sudden and unexpected passing of her loving mentor, Jennifer decided to honor his memory by dedicating her life more fully to serving others.Seeing the need for legal representation among low income and minority communities, she enrolled in college.
Jennifer graduated Cum Laude from Palm Beach State College in December 2017.She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Minor in Philosophy from Florida Atlantic University on August 6, 2019.Jennifer proudly graduated with Magna Cum Laude academic honors.
As a first-time politician, Ms. Jones has served her community as an activist for the Haitian Community of Palm Beach County.She holds membership in multiple community-based boards, has worked tirelessly with churches and numerous nonprofit organizations to invoke change and improvement in the local community.Jennifer currently serves as the Public Relations Director of the Volunteer Association Fund of South Florida, a non-for-profit organization that collaborates closely with Palm Beach County cities and the Palm Beach County Board of Superintendents to pursue improvement and positive changes for our community.Jennifer is instrumental in being a voice for the voiceless, while representing and championing core American values.
Jennifer is married to Jairus Jones, whose support and love has been unconditional and inspiring.
